Dr Manda Brits

Dr Manda Brits was born and raised in South Africa, completing her medical degree at the University of Pretoria in 1974. With decades of experience in General Practice, she has worked across a wide range of settings, including the Army, Air Force, and private industry in KwaZulu-Natal.

She moved to Mackay in 2008 and continued her work in General Practice, with a strong focus on comprehensive, patient-centred care. Her special interests include asthma care, adolescent and young adult medicine, anxiety and depression, behavioural disorders, cardiovascular risk assessment and disease management, diabetes, and metabolic conditions.

Dr Brits also offers services in men's health, menopause management, preventative health checks, pain management, family medicine, and skin surgery (including mole and tag removal, excluding face and neck). She is experienced in performing minor procedures such as Implanon insertion and excision of skin lesions.

Additional services include pre-employment medicals, travel vaccinations, worker’s compensation cases, and AMA health assessments.

Dr Brits is committed to supporting patients through all stages of life with a focus on prevention, early intervention, and long-term health outcomes.
