Dr Monica Henry

Dr Monica Henry has been in practice for over 40 years. She graduated from the University of Tasmania in 1978 and interned at the Royal Hobart Hospital before joining the Family Medicine Program on the North West Coast, where she obtained a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. After a brief time as a Medical Officer in the ski fields of NSW, Dr Henry spent a year at the Gosford District Hospital, before moving to a local Family Planning Clinic and General Practice. Dr Henry then returned to Tasmania, where she worked part-time at an After Hours Medical Service and as a locum doctor before transitioning full-time into General Practice.

When her infant son developed multiple health problems, Dr Henry studied Integrative Medicine and went on to gain a Fellowship with the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine. In 1988, she moved to Victoria, where she ran a busy solo Integrative Medicine Practice for 20 years. Dr Henry relocated to Tasmania in 2009 with her partner for a lifestyle change.
